I am an undergraduate student , a labour party delegate to the constituency general committee(Leeds Central),secretary of the Congolese Association in Leeds section,a value member of the amnesty international. My desire is to study Politics and Economics at University. It(my Desire) is rooted in my personal experience as an african from Democratic Republic of Congo who has found a contrast between dictatorship and democracy very interesting. It has made me very aware of the importance of institutions like a free press, popularly elected parliament, a fair judicial system and civil rights. I am also conscious of the importance of understanding British government and the need to work hard to preserve it. This has led me to join the Labour Party and has provided a fascinating insight into operation of Politics at both national and local level. I have enjoyed sharing ideas about how to keep our communities safer. The labour leader(Tony Blair) and the former US president (Bill clinton) are my idol and people who have inspired me to study politics at both College and University. To keep abreast of current affairs I read The Guardian daily as well as watching television news programmes like BBC 10 O'clock news and Inside Africa on CNN.Apart from academic work I am an enthusiastic footballer and have enjoyed significant success with local sides at U16, U18 and adult level. I currently play for the semi professional club, Harrogate Town AFC as a centre back. To relax. I like to listen to a range of music. My favourite is Regal because the artists are talking about issues such as poverty, dictatorship, discrimination, xenophobia and I also like to play tennis and snooker with my friends.my aim is to use western democracy, tribal harmony, a strong and moderate of European leadership, the development of industries that we have learnt in Britain in Africa, make a manifesto in which will create a strong country proper economically, with tribal harmony and reforming health policies, to also encourage western education among Congolese. In conclusion working for the promotion of peace, justice and security.
