About Me

First off, I would like to thank those that listen to my music and in some way relate to it. Understand that I am no different than you. My music is inspired by real shit in life. I rap about what I know, and what I have experienced first hand. Whether you like it or not, I expose both the light and dark side of life. I gottah keep it real with my listeners and know that I'm on the same page as you. I know you wonder who I am, where I come from, etc., etc. My name is Frankie "2High" Rodriguez, I was raised in the City of Roses; Pasadena, California. I'm 27 years old and decided to write music in 1997. The only reason I decided to write music was because I was incarcerated and knew that I needed to do something different than crime. I had my ups and downs with the law since I was a teenager. Yeah, I came from a broken home too and up to this date, I'm still going through the same bullshit. My main goal is to keep this label going strong. I represent myself and those around me. One day at a time. Shit is fucked up and my music is the only way I can express the way I feel.Currently my album is being distributed mainly through word of mouth, the Internet, and the Underground Hip-Hop scene. I know alot of my friends, fans, and future fans are looking forward to getting their hands on it. I'm not saying that my album is the shit cause I would be lying to you, but what I do know is that thanks to the internet people from all over the world have heard and supported my music. The only way you can figure it out is if you listen to it too. There's always a deeper meaning. I give much props to those that took the time to listen to this album. I'm coming out this year and you'll definitely hear from me one way or another. As far as beats go, they're created by none other than...Ernie G. from one of the greatest Chicano Rap pioneer groups "Proper Dos" (Mexican Power, Firme Hyna, One Summer Night, and many more). We got together June of 2000 and hit it off good. After five months of collaboration, we knew we had established a solid musical foundation. Our Ceo, Jaime Vargas didn't have a second thought in putting up the money and creating our own label, High Caliber Records. I know it's too soon to say anything about what the future may hold, but thanks to you; the listeners, fans, critics and haters, we'll keep putting out more music. We're in the studio recording my second album and as always, I put 110% of myself into my music. To my fans and future fans I apreciate your support. Remember High Caliber Records will give you ah run for your money.
