About Me

..
Having been in four different bands in the last four years, 22-year-old Perth spinster Hayley Beth has often contemplated taking a stroll down a different avenue. With a cassette four-track recorder that is older than she is and possibly an equally primitive computer set up in her bedroom, she plans to provide her friends (that is, you people) with an earful of what it is she actually meant to say all this time. Don't take it personally...

Honestly armed with guitar and microphone, Hayley Beth aims to break down the barrier between audience and performer, leaving any pretenses at the bar. Her influences range from punk, soul, blues, folk and country - with a few questionable quirks in between. Although admittedly not the most apt guitarist on the scene, she focuses heavily on pushing vocal boundaries and splitting the ear drums of whomever misspells her name.

Previously featured on Triple J Unearthed.com, Ms. Beth has supported the legendary queen of rockabilly Wanda Jackson; ARIA winners The Audreys, French duo Vialka, and Melbourne's Fabulous Diamonds, Guy Blackman; among many, many others and even more to come!"You sound old" - Tomás Ford

Hand in Glove

Contrary to popular opinion, I am, in fact, not mentally unstable. However, when I awake from yet another of (at least) ten consecutive high school-related nightmares with the chorus to Neil Diamond's...

an introduction

I first arrived in Ramsay Street in June 1988 after running into Madge Mitchell. We used to go out together when we were at school. Actually, she used to date both Lou and I, which was quite a bother....
