I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I was born in Virginia and grew up in Kentucky. I have been singing at church since I was 10 and started teaching myself guitar when I was 11 just to accompany my singing. I have a BA in music-classical guitar, voice, and mandolin, and a Master of Divinity from Asbury Seminary.I have always loved anything British, especially music and theology. I spent a year in England as an exchange student at Hull University. While I was there I married an Englishman and we have two sons. But after 13 years he decided he didn't want to be married anymore and left us.I grew up in the holiness tradition and belong to the United Methodist Church now. I was a pastor of a Free Methodist Church back in the 90's but after my husband left I decided to take an easier job until the kids were grown. The type of ministry I am doing involves music, writing, and preaching. I have recorded one CD of my progressive arrangements of 14 hymns. I also wrote a devotional guide to go with the CD. You can hear the songs on my music profile .I tried to keep this first CD simple since I am still learning how to use the recording equipment--just rhythm guitar and vocals. I did a lot of commercial writing and production when I was in radio but it's all different now. I haven't worked in radio since 1984-back then it was all analog with reel to reel tape and editing was cutting the tape with a razor blade and taping it back together. Boy is it easier with digital!Album 2 is in recording now. I put the lastest songs on the playlist here. Also I just launched a wesite.
