the middle sweet

I spent every day after school in either the grandstands of a baseball field or the concession stand of the football field. My dad and grandpa were coaches, so I could talk intelligibly about football and BBQ a mean burger before I hit high school. My mom, on the other hand, imbued me with a lust for stereotypical girl stuff like shopping, romantic comedies and obsessive house cleaning. I’m pretty well-rounded as a result.
I grew up in a small Oregon town, so my music taste was heavily influenced by KGON playlists and my dad’s record collection. Thankfully he had good stuff like KISS, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Cheap Trick, The Police, Def Leppard and Quiet Riot – music considered scandalous by my Catholic schoolmates.
As a kid, I spent every summer with my grandparents on the Oregon coast. I consider it my second home.
Even though I bitch about it a lot, I love the rain. I don’t own a raincoat or an umbrella.
I've seen Loverboy in concert. Twice.
I have an entire bedroom dedicated to housing my impressive shoe and boot collection.
I love my job. I work with some of the most hilarious and inspiring people around. We laugh and play loud music all day long, and get lots of work done.
I am terrified of birds.
I’m obsessed with condiments. Mustard, garlic Tobasco and good old-fashioned mayo are my favorites, especially when they’re on a cheeseburger.
I believe wholeheartedly that natural medicine - especially acupuncture - can change the world.
I love being scared, so I go a little nuts at Halloween. I start renting horror flicks around mid-September.
