About Me

I got my first real guitar at 13. I couldn't play the intro riff to Aerosmith's 'Train Kept A Rollin' and gave up. At 17, I met a guy named Peter West that showed me the basic barre chords and song structures. Shortly thereafter, I met Tom Azevedo and started taking private lessons. I started jamming with some guys I knew from school and we called ourselves Viper. It was mostly for fun and partying.
I joined my first gigging band, Rare Breed, in 1985 when I was almost 19. We gigged in Hawaii and California until 1989 when I left Rare Breed and formed Kings Queen. Kings Queen played regularly around the Bay Area rock scene with other bands such as Cry Wolf, Heist, The Ruffians, Babylon A.D., and Scarlett until 1991. I then played in a band called 'Hangman' from 1998 through 2000 doing Hard Rock covers at local clubs in the Bay Area.
I'm currently involved in an awesome rock/metal project called Shadowlife. We're writing and recording material for our debut CD. Check us out at myspace.com/shadowliferocks.

Influences: My earliest guitar influences were Ace Frehley and Joe Perry. Once I finally dedicated myself to playing it was Tom Azevedo (Rat Attack, Hawaii, Liquid Mirror, Vertigo Children) Marty Friedman (Hawaii, Megadeth), Randy Rhoads, Criss Oliva (Savatage), Warren DeMartini, George Lynch, Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme), Bill Leverty (Firehouse), Matthias Jabs. Theres so many other players that I love to listen to, but the core of my style came from these guys.
