Gillian De Lear.
From Menlo Park, CA, began playing drums at age 10 and has not stopped since.
She played throughout her school years in band, orchestra, marching band and jazz ensembles.She toured for three years 1983-1986 throughout the mid and southwest with Hawkins & DeLear, a high-tech pop duo.Settling in Tucson, AZ, in 1986, she taught high school drum line as well as having on going teaching positions at area music stores and opened Southwest Sound Recording Studios.She has played in many local and touring bands with styles ranging from Afro-pop through country, jazz, blues, and rock. One of the country bands she played with won a TAMMIE, Tucson Area Music Award, for best country group in 1995.Gillian moved to Boston, MA in 2004 and has finished a music degree at Berklee College of Music.
