I am going to start a New Age - Wicca store called The Guild of Toledo. I think there is a growing market for Witchcraft merchandise in the Toledo area. There are a lot of Wiccans out there in Toledo who need a store like this to go to. Witchcraft is a nature based religion. Wiccans believe in a higher power (the God and Goddess), and they celebrate the equinoxes and Sabbats. Wiccans believe in the power of will over reality and magick. Witchcraft is one of the oldest religions, with its roots going back some 25,000 years. There has been a resurgence of interest in the craft since the early 1900s. The religion has been underground since the crusades, but with today’s attitudes toward freedom of religion with out the fear of persecution, people are free to express them selves openly and worship the God and Goddess however they choose. A lot of people are searching for something new I think, they want to worship and connect with God, but might not believe in (or want to be part of) the three major organized religions Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. Wicca is just another path to God.
I have opened a booth at the Lewis Avenue Flea Market. Located at 5057 Lewis Avenue by Laskey in West Toledo. Take a look at the pictures of my booth that I just uploaded to myspace. I have New Age - Wicca - Witchcraft - Metaphysical books for sale. Wiccans get 10% off books and I will pay your local sales tax. I also have swords and knives, ritual supplies, chalices, tarot cards, rune sets, crystal balls, colored candles, over 100 different types of incense, brass or wood incense holders, Magic the Gathering cards (packs and singles). I am there every weekend: Friday Saturday and Sunday from 12:30pm to 6:00pm. Stop in and see me this weekend!!!
