About Me

Updated info about me... I am living in Mississippi for the rest of Ed's military career, then who knows! We moved here in April of 2007 and live in housing on the base. I am focusing on my writing recently and have been rubber stamping and scrapbooking TONS!
I recently became an independent demonstrator for Stampin' Up! and am doing classes and workshops to spread the fun! E-mail me if you want to do a class and earn FREE rubber stamping and scrapbooking products.
I am also working on our personal art business, Mueller Arts , by scheduling classes for both Ed and I in and around parts of Eastern Mississippi. Between my Stampin Up! workshops, jewelry design classes, cake decorating workshops and kids camps and Ed's oil painting, watercolor and One Stroke classes we pretty much have the art world covered.
My son is enjoying his summer by being a slug and staying up all night on the computer and sleeping during the day, such is the life of a teenager. He'll be a sophomore in the fall and keeps busy with NJROTC and bowling leagues.

My Interests

Live, local music. Art in any medium, but I like things that make me FEEL. Photography. Being on the water or near the water. Writing, the process of doing it and the ability to share it with others.

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet... my birth mother. I am NOTHING like my adoptive family, I truly think we exist on different planets. Meeting my birth mother might answer some of those questions that are always nagging at the back of my mind - as for the birth father, if I met him, great, but it took some guts in 1967 to put up a baby for adoption so I have a deeper desire to talk with my birth mother.

Music:

God, it's almost embarrassing, but I am a total 80's Hair Band fanatic, my I-pod has TONS of it loaded on it, and my CD collection reflects the sickness that is 80's Heavy Metal. Actually, I have a very eclectic CD collection that includes 80's hair bands, current rock, Broadway shows, movie sound tracks, a lot of classical and jazz cds, and yes - much to my friend Nicole's absolute horror... John Tesh (it's an Olympics CD, he did the sound track)

Movies:

Highlander (all of them, even the horrible 2nd film featuring the planet Zeist)
The Secretary
Being John Malkovitch
Grosse Point Blank
The 25th Hour
A Clockwerk Orange
Rock Star
The Princess Bride
This is Spinal Tap
Rocky Horror Picture Show

Television:

Again, I am mildly embarrassed to admit I am a reality show addict. My favorite two shows are Big Brother and America's Top Model - both for the same reason - I love seeing beautiful people tearing each other up on TV just for their 15 minutes of fame. I also enjoy CSI, ER, House, Bones and recently I found this great show Dexter... God I love NetFlix!

Books:

A very good friend turned me on to Nicole Blackman as he knows I am a struggling poet, and I have found inspiration in her work. I also love Laurell K. Hamilton, the Anita Blake series and Merry Gentry series are a great read and I generally read them in one day when I buy them! Ann Rice is another author I collect, along with her son Christopher's work and husband Stan's poetry.

Heroes:

It makes me sad to think that I don't have any "hero's", but for the life of me I can't think of a one.

My Blog

Can't sleep... again

I toss and turn most nights, frustrated with too muchroom in the bed.My mind does not shut off, random thoughts circling with nowhere to go.Sheets rustle as I try to get comfortable. Not a cool place to...

Do you think they buy their own hype?

I dont understand the insecurity I see in others. They think they mask it well, through their attitudes, off-beat dress codes and lifestyle choices that look cool.  Relying on others to prop u...

Winter memories
