I was born in Oakland, California and then moved with my family to San Leandro when I was ten. When I was sixteen a good friend of mine was starting a band. I wanted to join but I didn't play guitar, bass or drums. So I bought a cheap electric guitar at a pawn shop and learned to play in three weeks. My fingers were blistered but I had the desire. So because he was my buddy he let me be a member over the objection of the other band members. My first band was called "The Tyrants" Other bands included "The Colt 45s," "The Koltz," "The Collective Unconscious," "The Salty Dogs," "Time Piece," " Windfall,"and "Charisma." After seven years of playing in bands I became tired of depending on unreliable musicians and finally got a day job. I took up playing classical guitar and lost all contact and interest in popular music. Then about five years ago I saw some software at a computer store. I could use my computer to record music. Soon I was recording and writing my own music, something I always wanted to do.
Since then I have written and recorded 47 songs and produced CDs for other artists. I have also had the fortune to work with other singer songwriters such as Justin Adams, Jypsy Faber and most recently David Kent Bergman. I play guitar, bass, mandolin, cello, a little violin and harmonica. My favorite styles are Americana, blues, rock, traditional and folk. I'm currently doing open mics sometimes solo and sometimes as a duo. I'm having more fun than ever!
