We remember when it used to be 804. We know the 7 cities as – Hampton, Bad news, da Peake, P-towne, Naughty by Norfolk (pronounced – Nor-fuk), Suffolk (su-fuk), and Va Beach (not Virginia Beach). All the guys with the suped up rides are in the NAVY, and that and clothes is all they spend their money on. You dated someone in the NAVY. The blackest mall is Military Circle. We know that when they made “the Mac” (MacArthur Mall), they made it for white people, but the blacks took over. What can u expect when it’s down the street from Norfolk State??? everybody knows where Chesapeake Square Mall is unless you live in P-town. P-town only has ghetto high schools.but the best Va Beach cops are annoying! Chesapeake cops are even worst. The Scope is bigger than it looks. Hurricanes really ain’t that bad! NSU football sucks, but the band and greeks are off the chizainz! We know the REAL reason why VA has no professional sports teams. We know more than 2 ways to get anywhere. There are too many damn Wal-Marts. We remember the SWEAT box, Infinity’s, Lagoons, and Club Groove. The Brickhouse was small as hell, but always fun. We remember when the Hampton 24AMC Theater first opened and it was the SPOT. We know The Alley and Picassos was always gonna be packed. The Broadway never dies. We said “THAT’S the VA house of Comedy?!?” The afterparty always went down at the IHOP off of Military Circle Hwy, and you WOULD get taken out of line for wearing THAT. Driving through underwater tunnels is nothing to us. The Buddha Brother’s are not Chinese. We are used to having 7 black radio stations. We call it the beach, not the shore. We remember when Missy used to live 2 blocks away from Churchland Academy. The best girls are at HU parties. 10 was on your side. Shooters or Jillian’s was always a backup plan. Oceanview is the black beach and the sand hurt your feet. People say we have an accent, but we don’t hear it. We may be a little weird but we know that’s what makes them love us.
