Sunreign

Formed back in the summer of 07, Sunreign comprises of a weird assortment of people. It all started when Toby had a gathering round his house with his old school friend Chris, and 2 guys from his new school, Ned and Simon. Guitars were plucked and strummed, and at about 2am infront of a dying fire in the garden, the idea of a new band to reinvent old genres and generally have a good laugh was born.
It's always a wise idea to avoid stereotypes, but if we had to pick out a genre for our music, it would a mix of rock and prog rock, with a hint of Psychedelia for good measure. We have been heavily influenced by a range of bands, from classic rock of the 1970's, such as Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath, to a more modern take on the same genre, such as Muse, foo Fighters and Radiohead, and small parts of Flaming Lips and Country and Western thrown in to the mix.
We started writing, and vaugley recording, our own songs, and are looking forward to some gigs in the hopeful near future, so keep tabs!
