Mortified

A Mortified myspace created due to popular demand by Col/Cane. An amalgamation of a goth, a doom rocker and a thrasher with a common taste in Celtic Frost and later Godflesh, mixing new romantic, gothic, industrial death metal, space rock and punk, churning it out to leave listeners completely puzzled. Always a challenge to get a gig back then, it now seems you can stroll down yer local bowls club and catch the latest metal sounds. Absolutely NO interest in politics or religion, dark arts or any of that scene. If you want songs about evil and horror... we ain't for you. Every rock magazine you open has yet another 200 pictures of a bunch of 'crazeh' people with hairstyles and genre related kit on pulling faces. We did that shit and If there was one thing that we learnt as a band was that the music transcended the fashion and left behind a sticky residue of embarrassing photos. Mortified started out in 1988 and faded with the long shadows in 1996. It was a completed chapter that was always progressive and ended before it began to get damp, dusty and repetitive. To all those in the know, send in yer Mortified related stories and help fill in the bits that went missing during those hazy crazy field party filled daze.
