The Dot Line Projekt

About Me

The Dot Line Projekt's music is a meld of the individual member's talents that come from extensive experience, musical training, and family love. Power psychedelic grooves, and good ol' rock & roll combine in the band's technically morphed originals, progressive freeform jams, and carefully adapted covers. Their newly released 5 LIVE demo has 5 of their best originals to date, and is available at any show.

The seed was planted when Critter, Beetle, and Scooter met while attending the Atlanta Institute of music in 2007. They first got together and jammed with Phil Abbate on bass at a gathering by Ronnie and Tasha. They were immediately addicted to the high energy and vibrations that came from playing together and decided they needed to explore it as far as possible.
The base of their sound was realized through the support of The Dot Line tribe and gatherings where the tribe rocked all night long. Tribe meetings were regularly held at Barb and Drew Popis' farmhouse, better known as the unofficial official jam band training camp. The Reverend's Friday Night Jam at Woodridge Studios was where they began their first recordings in 2007. Phil became DLP's sound engineer in 2008 and then "The Big Swede" became a member of the tribe and brought a new level to their songwriting and rhythms as well as incredible talent and experience on the bass.

They have played at many Georgia venues, including The 5 Spot, Smith's Olde Bar, Zuffy's Place, Luby's Bar & Grill, Sweetwater Live, The Moonshadow Tavern, Good Ol' Days, Flannigan's, Fat Daddy's, Lenny's Bar, The Watering Hole and Peachtree Tavern.
They recently opened on Valentine's Day for the Ralph Roddenbery Band, played at Wild Man Steve Radio's Morph Jam, and played two nights during the 500 songs for kids charity music marathon. They have also played with or at music events with: TOY TV, Timmi Cruz, Kelly Zullo, Nattie Love Joys, Stop Drop N Roll, The Royal Family, Electric Codpiece, Donna Hopkins, Deep Blue Sun, Charlie Wooten, Virginia Daredevils, Norton Hears a Hood, Diane Durrett, Moon Goddess Cotillion, Mathew Barbero, Peach Jam & Muscadine Wine, Space Yeti, The Ramblers, Liquid Marble, Modzilla, The fuzzbuzzards, Mog Rocket and Boulder Monkey.
Guest musicians have included: Ralph Roddenbery, Timmi Cruz, Kelly Zullo, Zebulon Bowles, John Jordan, Joyce Jones Bramblett, Space Yeti, J.T. Alessi, Holly Howell, Sam & Richie Jones, Sidney Cox, Smurph, Kevin "The Sheet" Ponton, Michael Hurley, Flower & Leni Pippin, Jim Durham, Bill Flemming, David Bard, Johnny Freedom, Leland, and Amanda Farish.
With their power psychedelic grooves, funkadelic lights and backdrops, and powerful originals, The Dot Line Projekt brings satisfaction and higher vibrations to every show.
