Virage visuals is a group of video jockeys (VJs) comprising video artists, technicians and unqualified interested parties. They promote and develop techniques for electrical assembly during live musical events linked the electronic kind. The basic concept, from which such artistic discussions are developed, is that a moving image can not only be projected during a musical performance, but can be integrated, as a kind of filmic translation of the musical event, a sort of visual interpretation conceived of and developed by a videomaker with the collaboration of the musicians. In this way a kind of visual interpretation is conceived and developed by a videomaker with the input of the musicians. Of this collaboration a kind of videoclip is made – with one, fundamental difference: it’s all done live. Thus a musician will use audio generators (synth, random sampling, computers, etc) and a media performer will use the same sort of equipment to generate and produce the correct images to be stored and, eventually used, at a live event. The idea of creating a genuine story, a small films which shows its real content during the monst interesting events of all: parties. The film tool is used as cultural, artistic and social channel as well as protest. It is a protest from these protagonists who are going through the constant changes of the time and events. This is why the choice to use the name ‘virage’ (‘curva’) was taken – a thumbing of the nose that wants to show that the propensity for change and novelty is a natural one. goodnite&goodLuck(in search of de lite
