Jerome Dadon (Discotronic)

About Me

Jerome has been musically inclined since a young age, learning both the piano and later the drums in order to develop his love of music. Starting out with rock, jazz and blues, he was constantly surrounded by various musical influences and developed an appreciation of many genres throughout the years. It was only with the discovery of house music; and the party scene in general, that he became inspired to pursue a career in the playing and production of music. In order to further these aspirations, he took up DJing in 2005, seeing this as a way to express his ideas about what good music is to other like-minded people.
Since these humble beginnings, he has found his sound develop away from its house and electro beginnings towards a darker, deeper amalgamation of house, techno and progressive music. Starting out in the bars of Melbourne, he has always been uncompromising in his resolve to play what he believed should be played. This determination was rewarded with gigs at onesixone, Symphonic Tonic at Room 680, Sanctuary Bar and Mofo Lounge among others.
More recently, Jerome has completed a tour of Germany with Brendan Haar, playing at Cine Colibri, Blauer Turm, and Finca, as well as a 60 minute live mix and interview on the Sunshine Live radio station as a guest of Martin Eyerer's popular radio show “Session Deluxe”. He has been hard at the production front as well, and hopes to have a coupe of signed releases by the end of this year both individually and with Brendan.
