About Me

My name is Ian Wright and music is my life. Music is basically the only thing I have ever done really well, and it's the only thing I have ever wanted to do, so it's what I plan to do for the rest of my years. I play guitar in two bands, I write a ton of solo material that I record on my own, and I give guitar lessons at a couple places. My goal is to one day have my own studio and work as an audio engineer full-time. So, yeah, when I say "music is my life," I really mean it. Other than all that, I live a pretty normal life filled with a lot of wasted time doing nothing at all. I like to keep things simple. If for some reason you're interested in more of my story... get help.

My Interests

Playing guitar, writing crazy music, audio engineering, video games, movies, sports, some TV, being inebriated, thinking up goofy shit whilst being inebriated, death metal concerts, Nike sandals and Under Armor socks, driving my mini-van (The Advanced Chariot), looking like a viking, and whatever else will pass the time.

Music:

I love all music if it's done well, but Metal/Rock is my favorite genre. My top 10 as of right now: Opeth, Nile, Anata, Nevermore, Hate Eternal, Necrophagist, Symphony X, Old Man's Child, Porcupine Tree, and Origin.

Movies:

I like all types of flicks. If the movie is entertaining on some level, I can watch it. I wrote a blog about all my favorites, but my top 3 are: Fight Club, Pulp Fiction, and The Big Lebowski.

Television:

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Simpsons, South Park, Lost, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and just about anything on G4, ESPN and the History/Discovery channels.

Books:

A Clockwork Orange, by Anthony Burgess.
