The Fast Camels

Debut Album Out Now At All Good Record Stores!!

About Me

The Fast Camels explosive blend of 60's psychedelia has been turning heads and opening minds in their native glasgow since their formation in early 2005. the band have clocked up over 60 live appearances including 3 shows at glasgows' premier live venue 'king tuts wah wah hut' and an appearance at liverpools world famous 'cavern club' when invited to appear at the international pop overthrow festival 2006. late 2006 saw the camels put pen to paper on a contract with neon tetra records and the debut single 'like a magic optician' gave the group their first wave of national airplay as the year ended on a high..into 2007 and the Camels released their debut album "The Magic Optician" which has been selling all over the globe ever since! So the band have spent the best part of the year gigging all over the UK including the IPO festival again in Liverpool attracting attention from certain US record labels. Late summer the fc's were invited to play MAIN STAGE at the famous MONTEREY POP FESTIVAL in California for it's 40th aniversary but had to withdraw from the line-up due to being let down at the last minute by a former member. Since then the Camels haven't looked back and have added former Owsley Sunshine member Joe Kane.
