A Necessary Evil

Formed in 2003 by founding members Matt Taverner and Nathan Beuning, "A Necessary Evil" is a heavy metal assault that kicks you in the face and is sure to get you stomping your feet. With undertones of blues, a dash of classic metal, and a hint of aggressive hardcore; it is the kind of music that makes it's own gravy. They are truly the kings of Northern Sludge Metal.

This thick and greasy band based out of Bradford Ontario, found it's remaining members between 2005 and 2007. John Taverner, Ben Grant and Adam "Big" Wagg all signed on to complete the first stage of "A Necessary Evil".

In the summer of 2007 their first album, "By Any Means" was recorded at DC music in Toronto, Ontario. With the albums debut to follow in the spring of 2008, and an ever increasing fan base, who knows where the band will be headed. But hopefully we won't hear the last chapter of the "A Necessary Evil" saga for a very long time.
