Well hello! This is more of an explanation than a profile as such........................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ....................................................... There's very little here except this clip of me note- bashing some Rachmaninov snippets. I'd come to the end of three weeks of singing in the Paris run of Damon Albarn's: 'Monkey: Journey to The West' without an opportunity to practice the piano, so when this Steinway model D turned up on the last night, I couldn't resist. I don't pretend to call it 'music', I was simply revelling in the luxury of a beautiful instrument. My niece was wandering around filming me with her camcorder and that along with the hall's over-reverberant acoustic, accounts for the poor sound quality..................................................... ............................................................ ............................................................ .......................................................I don't own a piano, only ever did grade three and so never went to music college, however, I suddenly got it into my head that I'd like to learn Rachmaninov's second piano concerto, so have set about learning it with a view to performing one day with an orchestra. Madness? Perhaps, but this somewhat unorthodox approach appeals and what's the reckoning that I'll do it too?!!! I sing, play, write, direct and perform both music and spoken word and 2007 saw me doing all of these in a professional capacity in some very wonderful ways........................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ....................................................... .. Despite my being something of a technophobe I'm going to built a Musical My Space site geared towards my professionial work. Once that's up and running and I have a place to keep in touch musically I'll make THIS more of a social chat site........................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ .......................................................My apologies to those few friends I had on here who are here no more.
