Bio
Fourteen Twentysix is the cryptic alias of musician Chris van der Linden. Started in 2006 as a solo project, Fourteen Twentysix has since grown into a mature sonic statement, including a four-pieced live band.
The debut EP "Songs to Forget" (2008) paints a dark, moving landscape of melancholy and hope, which has received much applause from fans of the genre. In subsequence to the release of this debut album, Fourteen Twentysix performs live, bringing a dark, gripping rock show.
Live band
Fourteen Twentysix appears live as a four-pieced band, combining elements of rock, electronica and sound scape. The live band, assembled from veteran musicians, brings years of experience to the stage. The sometimes soft, introvert character of the album material, turns into a powerful vocalization of the soul on the stage.
History
After drumming in several bands for over ten years, Fourteen Twentysix is a personal 'exile' for Chris, exploring various musical genres such as electronica, rock, ambient, shoegaze, soundscape and more. It all fits back together into a moving, sonic journey. Fourteen Twentysix's music has been compared with Depeche Mode, Pink Floyd and Kevin Moore (Dream Theather).
