Waiting to Shine hails from Dayton, Ohio.
This project started in the winter of 2006, but didn't pick up speed until the summer of 2007 when the demos for the record were completed and we started gearing up to play them out and record our official album.
The talent in this group is off the charts, and we are so excited to start bringing our music to the world. We have focused on writing thoughtful lyrics (go Kellie!), and worked hard at getting the best sounds possible out of the songs.
We all come from different musical backgrounds but work together to create something that we feel is unique. We try to encompass all our tastes of music as it comes, so at times we are spiritual, sometimes melancholy, frequently upbeat, occassionally hard as nails, but we remain always honest. We hope our music is able to connect with you the way it has with us over the course of putting it together.
Thanks for coming on this journey with us, and we hope to catch each and every one of you at one of our shows. We will post blogs as new things happen, and please feel free to contact us at any time, we would love to hear from you!
Posted on the site are six demos recorded on a home computer, using pro-tracks, in Matt's spare room (see enclosed pics!), recorded for us to hear how our songs might sound as finished products. They are in no way professional, but we feel they are still something special and we hope you enjoy them and get of feel of who we are. Thank you for stopping by and come see us again sometime!
