(BLUES FROM THE HEART)From a very young age Karl Sankey a.k.a. (Silver Tooth Slim) has always been the creative type. This is mainly because being creative allowed him to escape for a few moments from the troubles and hardships that his life had to offer. it was in his late teens that he first picked up a guitar, and quite literally made a noise. His father told him "why dont you learn how to play that thing properly". It was these words that stuck in karls head right up until this present day. He taught him self and learnt from books and videos for the first eight years of his guitar life and took a few lessons after that. he learned everything from rock to jazz, but nothing that helped him communicate the experiences of his downtrodden life. One day he walked into a small guitar shop to buy some strings. It was there he heard a man preaching the blues with his guitar. This is when the penny dropped; "this his how im gonna tell my pain" he said to himself. From then on he began to learn the blues and write music and lyrics with truth and feeling...... His aim is to write and play his own style of blues thats touches the listener in some way. He also likes to keep his recordings raw to give that true good ol' down home feeling....... have a listen!!!!! ARE YOU A FAN YET???????..
