After hundreds of years of sightings and speculation the Creatura was first captured in 1923 in southern Mexico. The expedition team first encountered it whilst investigating Aztec Ruins. Together they were able to injure and sedate it. They shipped it back to the United States, but the specimen managed to escape en-route causing much carnage as it did so. Again sightings abounded and mutilations were recorded. It appeared to be heading back to the Yucatan. Creatura roamed free for over a decade causing havoc in the region with it's abundant appetite for livestock and villagers.This time great care was taken. The trap was set, the sedatives were copious, the cage was re-enforced and the strongest, bravest men were recruited from miles around. Lives were lost in the capture to be sure, but the Creatura was finally successfully shipped all the way to it's destination.Upon arrival at the research facility the heavily tranquilized animal was immediately secured into a containment unit. A pen that had been specifically designed using state of the art technology to hold this strong, feral, bloodthirsty beast. To this day records of experiments conducted have not been released.Eventually the keepers made a mistake. Too safe in their knowledge of the institution's security precautions they let their guard down, only for a moment. They paid dearly for this. Having ravaged and half devoured it's keepers, leaving them alive, writhing in agony and begging for death, the Creatura slipped into the institution's hallways. The carnage and body count from that day is unimaginable. Even after the animal was recaptured, the tragedy lead to the decision to terminate the project, close the facility and destroy the Creatura for once and for all.Unfortunately, one young scientist, dismayed at the the destruction of the last specimen of this unique and deadly breed took it upon himself to present Creatura to a certain circus side show owner who specialized in showcasing the most horrific deviations on the human form. With the scientist's help the animal was stolen. From here the records are fairly unclear. A few posters and one aging photograph of the trailer where it was kept and displayed are the only remaining records of this period.On his deathbed the carnival owner offered the Creatura to his friend the notorious serial killer Bloody Betty. At that time the beautiful and deadly Gorelesque deamoness was looking for a new pet agreed to take Creatura on.
