The East Coast Hip Hop Awards is a media event to unite and bring together all East Coast Hip Hop artists, DJs, Radio Personnel, producers and labels in one forum. The East Coast Hip Hop Awards will offer increased networking, un-cover talent, show recognition and reward achievement for those in the music industry.
The mission of the East Coast Hip Hop Awards is to redefine the unity and music which sparked the Hip Hop movement from its existence. Once we exceed this expectation we will serve as the media bridge between Hip Hop legends, mainstream and independent Hip Hop Artists. Our goal is to re-establish the richness of Hip Hop music while positioning ourselves at the forefront of the hip hop community.
The market is well overdue for an East Coast Hip Hop Awards Show which will prove as a profitable entertainment mechanism. The concept of an East Coast Hip Hop Awards Show has never initialized nor executed. We recognize an event of this magnitude could transform into a media outlet which would span nationally and internationally. Consequently, the Hip Hop industry is in need for a uniquely designed awards recognition show catering to those who seek and are in need to industry recognition. Our goal is to implement this vehicle for East Coast Hip Hop Artists.
Profit expectation of the East Coast Hip Hop Awards presents itself as a continuous revenue enhancing event for all sponsors and interested parties. D.V. Alias KHRYST can spit a verse that makes you want to move and stomp one minute, and the next minute, he will have you ready to sway left and right with his vocal skills. D.V. Alias KHRYST is no newcomer to the music and entertainment industries. He can be heard on De La Soul’s Art Official Intelligence/Mosaic Thump album, on the smash record “Thru Ya City" which can be heard in the video game "True Crime Stories, New York City". “Thru Ya City" also scored in the movie “Made”, starring P Diddy, CEO of Bad Boy Records and the song was also featured on the H.B.O series “Sexy in the City”.
Brooklyn native, D.V. Alias KHRYST vocal skills are only a fraction of his true talents. KHRYST has been surrounded by music and entertainment heavily since his early years when he, along with other hip hop legends Smoothe Da Hustler & Trigger Da Gambler formed a dance group called “Guess Riders”. The dance group performed with an urban street, acrobatic dance style which led the group to win 1st Place in a national talent show.
KHRYST musical influences are Smoothe Da Hustler (S.M.G.), Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Dr. Dre, Michael Jackson, Metallica and last but not least his Mother Claudette Polite. Ms. Polite is a Jazz, House and R&B vocalist who has worked with A List artists, such as Chaka Khan and “Change, the former group of "Luther Vandross. KHRYST was signed to Maseo of the De La Souls label, Bear Mountain Records who are under the Tommy Boy Label. KHRYST music video to the single "REJUVINATION" was released to all major video shows and it received medium rotation on BET and MTV networks. He has appeared on two major movie sound tracks, “The Black Mask with Jet Li” and “The Nutty Professor with Eddie Murphy”. D.V. has appeared on records with The Cella Dwellas, Adam F, Method Man, Scott Storch, Johnny Blanco, DJ AP, BMG 48 Beats Compilation album out of Munich Germany, Barbito formally of (Stretch & Barbito) and Law & Order celebrity Actor/Rapper Ice T. KHRYST has also worked with Clark Kent of Superman Productions who has produced multi platinum records for The Notorious B.I.G, Jay-Z and many other hip hop icons and artists.
KHRYST is currently working with super production team DANGEROUS LLC., who produced tracks for 50 Cent, Missy Elliot, Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Mo, and other artists.
He has a new single out titled “SWAG TAG” featuring Retsam “The Prince” and has currently worked with 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, T.I, Bloodshot, Bun B, Maino, Uncle Murder, Cassidy, Lil’ Mo, Redman, Rakim, Billy Dance of M.O.P. and Timbalands’ new artist D.O.E. He is also working with Free, formerly the host of BET 106 & PARK. KHRYST recorded a song with 50 Cent and has recorded a song with Memphis Bleek and Lil Cease as well.
