Bismillahir Rahmanir RahimAsalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh!I never thought I would get caught up in this mess, but here I am.For those who don't know me, my name is Reza (the word Hajj is just a title owned by me due to the fact of my completion of a religious pilgrimage). I am married (about 12 years) and have 2 boys, Kaleb and Khaleel. I graduated from California State University Fresno in 2000 with a degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies. I then taught for about 5 years, and now I am self employed, owning and operating a halaal restaraunt in Fresno, California, named Zoe Grill.I have a passionate love for acquiring knowledge, and therefore spend countless hours reading books on religion, politics, philosophy, and other social issues. I also have a strong desire to share with others what I learn so I spend alot of time in discussion and debate, educating others about religion, and partaking in speaking engagements at Masajid, TV shows, and universities whenever I can."The books I buy, are like arms I acquire...." -Black ThoughtI spent a lot of years as an emcee, recording and performing with the groups The Basement and Crimson Guard (See pics in pic section). This gave me a chance to open up myself and to have an outlet for thoughts and emotions, and helped me learn to control my voice in front of many people. We were blessed to have been really successful as a group releasing a total of 8 cd's (as a whole or parts) and were able to perform shows with so many artists such as Mos Def, Talib Kweli, KRS-One, Common, The Roots, Souls of Mischief, Saul Williams, Dead Prez, Aceyalone, Living Legends, Planet Asia, Styles of Beyond, Mood, Zion I, Encore, Medusa, Burning Star, Black Eyed Peas, Brother J (XClan), Little Brother, and so many others.The rest of the group continues, while I have quit for religious/social reasons.
