Like many out of my generation (1971), Synthy Pop was my most favorite music style in the 80's with bands like Depeche Mode, Camouflage, Kraftwerk and so on.. Once, I furtunedly got a Jean-Michel Jarre vinyl "Oxigene": I plugged it, I listened to it and, what else, I loved it. So I started my first DJ- experiences on parties, proms or disco events at school.
Around 2000 I got a Armin van Buuren CD "Communications" from a friend of mine, and I never really concentrated on this kind of music, and kindness shouldn’t be luxury, I listened to it, and I stucked on Trance.
The idea of me trying the seriously DJing (not like back in school...) I had in 2002. First of all, for making me an idea about mixing, techniques, and getting a flow for the music pp., I worked with Tractor DJ Studio 1.0 on my laptop, and mixed up my first CDs. So, like you know or can imagine mixing on a laptop with this kind of software, the second step never's far: ordering two turntables, a DJ-mixer and the most needful things: vinyl’s (as much as possible).
Next step: training, training and most important: training. The first segues really drove me nuts. I was so sick of it, that my fav' imagination was throwing the stuff out of the window and a lost Australian road train is rolling over it. But with a lot of discipline, and much more feedback, I finally got it..
Once, I was surfing through the net, looking for some trance communities, I landed on puredj.com, and a Dustin Crush set was playing, and I just wrote an E- Mail to him, with the request of listening to a set of mine. A few days later I had an answer from Dustin, with a positive feedback, with an invitation being a guest- DJ in his radio show “TranceSpottingâ€. After the set with Dustin, he kept everything rolling on PureDJ.com, for getting me in there. Now I'm a resident on puredj.com, performing regularly my own radio show. Now I'm also making sets for my radio show on TotaalFM.com and ODU.FM
I met a lot of amazing people, all dealing with Trance. Not just talking about new releases, remixes or things like that, I'm also interested in producing. Once I met a really talented and awesome guy, named KaltFlut. Soon we realized that we perfectly fit together, in terms of producing trance tunes, and all surrounding it.
