Biography:
oliver munyak started djing and mc-ing in 1984, by mixing soul and oldschool hip hop tracks on tape for himself and his homies and put his rhymes on instrumental vinyls plus tapes. later, he founded the "victims of choice - voc" hip-hop posse/record-label with some of his ol'school friends.
he starts his experience in producing electronic music in the early 90s working with an 8-bit sampler and an atari 1040st. at that time he produces various hip-hop acts. but after a while he was tired of all the german hiphop community and he decides to become an synthesizer enthusiast and bought his first minimoog to dig into the soundscape of analogue soundsynthesis because he was always fascinated from the tr 808 booming grooves and housy tr 909's.
in the mid 90's he becomes an employee at the german based synthesizer manufacturer quasimidi and he works until they've closed as a product specialist and sounddesigner.
in 1999 he starts working as a product specialist at the german distributor of korg products and met a lot of great engineers and all the staff at korg inc. r&d japan. after a while he became one of the main sounddesigners for korg's dance oriented products, such as the korg electribe range, radias, r3, korg legacy collection analog edition 2007. he was also a main part of the team who creates the first firewire dj mixing station called korg zero4 and zero8.
after 7 years at korg and all the distributor work as a product specialist and product manager he decides to go back to his roots. now he's a member of the german based synthesizer manufacturer called access music - kemper digital gmbh - the home of the virus synthesizer. he is always open minded in creating electronic music with different styles and different influences. please enjoy hearing his korg demos and his new music.
