Lil JAE’s Bio
You can call “Lil JAE” inspirational, an entrepreneur, hip hop artist, vocalist but most of all a Hip hop superstar in the making. You can see his passion in the Hip hop world every time he steps up on stage and is handed a microphone. From his lyrics to his performances, Lil JAE has taken his fans breath away through his spectacular shows and lyrics from his music that just melts his female fans into a puddle of love and astonishment that leaves them asking for more, “ I love to make music for the ladies but don’t worry I got some hood in me too”. His music is original and very visual, you can actually picture his lyrics and scenarios come into play into your mind, “I like to make people paint a picture of what I am singing about, and the only reason you can vision that is because everything I say I’ve done or gone through”. “Lil JAE” John Anthony Estrada was born and raised on the western part of San Antonio, Texas. He began building his musical talent at the age of 11, when one day his 6th grade elementary school teacher assigned him to write a poem and recite it in front of his entire class. “I just found poetry really interesting it’s an art form where you can express what you feel through words, just like hip hop”. He was able to paint a clear portrait into his classmate’s minds, especially into his 6th grade teacher. She was amazed at what type of story he was able to come up with for that assignment. She told him that he had the writing intellect to get far in life and become a role model to many. But Lil JAE decided to take his poem writing to the next level, and converted one of his love poems into a song. From that point on his passion for music grew and he developed fans that wanted to hear more, and through his unique rap and writing style his fan base began to accelerate throughout the years. But things haven’t always been a walk in the park for Lil JAE. Just like many people in the world, his parents separated and divorced when he was entering the most complicated time of his life, his teenage years. His parents’ divorce affected him emotionally, physically and socially, but never stopped his drive to achieve what he wanted most, to be a known “Hip-Hop Artist”. Many challenges have approached Lil JAE, including being told that he will never make it in the hip hop game, but he has gained the knowledge on how to overcome any obstacle. High school was another tough time in his life. Hoping for a football scholarship to achieve a further education was suddenly ended during the first game of his senior year. A torn ACL made him sit and watch his teammates struggle for the remainder of the year, “In just one game and one play I knew my life changed forever, but I didn’t know if it was for the best or for the worst, but god had a route for me”. But worst of all the sight of seeing himself in crutches destroyed his dream in having a free ticket to college to make things easier for him and his mom and dad. After graduating from high school he attended the University of Texas In San Antonio, but after one semester was forced to drop out due to money problems and began working to provide for himself and give a helping hand to his family. Just like his Hip-Hop influences (Ludacris, Chamillionaire, Plies) he has built a confident swagger that’s shows that he is on a mission to be one of the top fundamental leaders of the world of hip hop. His support team that consist of local radio personals, Djs, event host, friends and family all see the push and intense work effort that this young superstar is doing to reach his goal and change the hip hop worlds forever. “My main goal is to change the world one track at a time.” He has the Lil in his name but there isn’t anything little about this young man’s talent!
