About Me

The lovely Jorja (pronounced like Georgia) Fox was born Jorjan Fox on July 7 1968 in New York, New York. At the age of three her mother Marilyn, father Mark, and brother Jeff relocated to Melbourne Florida. At age 16, Jorja won a modeling contest and soon after graduating high school, she moved back to New York to pursue a dream of acting.
Jorja attended the American Academy of Dramatic Acting while also taking night classes at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. It was during this time when she was eating a meatball sandwich at a restaurant in Brooklyn and “something just clicked” she set it down and from that moment on she was a vegetarian.
Jorja landed her first role in an independent film “The Kill Off.” She then popped up in a episode of “Law and Order” called Securitate. From there she went on to play the first of many reoccurring roles on television. First she played the role of an investigator for the Chicago Police in the series “Missing Persons” Then in 1996 she played everyone’s favorite vegetarian doctor, Dr. Maggie Doyle on the NBC series “ER” And while still doing “ER” in 1997, Jorja also made an appearance in the famous “Coming Out” Episode for the TV series “Ellen“. Playing a woman who while at a coffee house takes an interest in Ellen’s friend.
In 1997 her role on “ER” had come to a close but that didn’t stop Jorja. The next thing you knew that same year she started another reoccurring role on the drama “The West Wing” Jorja played Gina Tuscano, the secret service agent in charge of protecting the president’s daughter. Her open roles on these television shows allowed Jorja the freedom to do other projects.
Jorja also appeared in the miniseries “The House of Frankenstein”, and an independent film titled “How to Make the Crueleist Month.” A lifetime movie titled “Forever Fabulous” in which she stars alongside of CSI Miami star Emily Proctor. In the movie “Food for the Heart” aka “The Hungry Bachelors Club”, Jorja plays a lovable surrogate mother who dreams of opening her own restaurant. You may have also seen her in the Sci-Fi movie “Velocity Trap” playing a bad ass thief. And in 2001 she would be remembered as the murdered wife of a man suffering from amnesia in the movie "Memento”.
But the role we all know and love her for is her portrayal of CSI Sara Sidle on CBS’s drama “CSI: Crime Scene Investagation”
During her busy schedule she also find time to co-found the production company Honeypot Productions, which is an LA based theater company. She plays the guitar, writes her own music, surfs the pacific ocean, and spends time with her dog Ali, and 2 cats; Rumplestiltskin and Sid Poiter.
