My name is HaiDai (Hai means "ocean" and Dai (da) was first expression/sound when they saw the ocean) and I am Vietnamese American. What I am proud of the most is my youth new media program, OtherFriday ; recently gotten selected by UNESCO for one of the best top ten new media presentation out of 60 youths programs in 29 countries; Maui youths ROCK! More than that I love to dance, celebrate via dancing, music that shake your booty, being lost in dancing, those who love dancing, dancing at big parties, dancing at little parties, OUTDOOR PARTIES, dancing alone, dancing slow, naughty, eloquently, vibrantly, shamelessly...
Okay, enough about my addictions... this poem by Mary Oliver says it best about how i am...
You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of
your body love what it loves.
Tell me about despair, yours,
and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles
of the rain are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the
clean blue air are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your IMAGINATION,
calls to you like the wild geese,
harsh and exciting--over and over
announcing your place in the family of things.
"Wild Geese"
