Kesh Kanobe is not impossible to describe sonically.
A unique blend of SurfRock, reggae, Groove, Rock, Jungle, with
multi-cultural overtones.
The one consistent binding element
within the group is the dedication of its members to the exploration
of new musical ideas on a personal, and collective level.
All members
in their early twenties, Ben Thomas, Sean Thomas, and Keith Thomas
(No Relation) draw from rich and varied musical backgrounds to
create their definitive sound.

Originally from Omaha Nebraska, Ben?s musical influence began at an early age. The son of two local musicians, Ben began shaping his unique blend of Funk, Hip Hop, Groove and raw Blues guitar in the Omaha music scene, opening up for such bands as the Deftones, FunkJunkies, and 311. Ben established himself as both a solid group, and solo performer before moving to Los Angeles in 2000. Currently involved in various musical projects, Ben gets to express his Bluesy toe tappin side in Kesh Kanobe.
Sean Thomas (Bass)

Born in Los Angeles, Sean?s early musical influence sterns largely from his cousin Keith Slettedahl; lead guitarist, and singer of ?The 88? (formerly known as ?The Freeloaders.?
Ever since his mid teenage years, Sean has played in a variety of bands covering many different genres of music including hardcore punk band ?A.L.C,? and Experimental Funk/Jazz group ?Bearded Taco/Skyward eyes collective.? Blending his acquired skills into a solid foundation of Hip Hop, And groove style playing, Sean has created his own unique sound for Kesh Kanobe.
Keith Thomas (Drums)

Also From Los Angeles, Keith originally emerged on the L.A. Scene as a bass player for the ?World Music Ensemble, Yaksi.? After being greatly influenced by the drumming of Solomon Macy (Bearded Taco), Keith began studying music at Pasadena City College and with other musicians through working with his grandfather; Harold Jackson,? the last surviving member of the depression era musical group, ? The Ink Spots.? Keith continued his education as a drummer by working as a drum technician for ?Ramy Antoun? (Goldspot), Vinni Colaiuta (Sting, Michael Landau) Matt Chamberlain (Fiona Apple, Natalie Merchant), and Kenny Aronoff(Smashing Pumpkins, John Mellencamp, Melissa Etheridge). Recently finding time to commit to rehearsing with a band , Keith is very excited to debut his skills as the drummer in Kesh Kanobe
