About Me

In a tunnel of hopes and dreams
there lies a path of stitches and seams
Each step you took a stitch was unraveled
to view the life you lived and traveled
your life has been sewed up into a bow
to set on display for everyone to know
who you were and who you became
the man you were and the man you remain
to everyone here you marked your place
A place in our hearts that will never be erased
It Has Always Been The Soldier
It is the soldier,
not the President who gives us democracy.
It is the soldier,
not the Congress who takes care of us.
It is the soldier,
not the Reporter who has given us Freedom of Press.
It is the soldier,
not the Poet who has given us Freedom of Speech.
It is the soldier,
not the campus Organizer who has given us the
Freedom to Demonstrate.
It is the soldier,
who salutes the flag;
who serves beneath the flag,
and whose coffin is draped by the flag,
that allows the protester to burn the flag."
(Father Dennis O'Brien, US Marine Corp. Chaplain)
"Between husband and wife there should be no secrets from one another.
... I hold that husband and wife merge in each other. They are one in two or two in one.
– Mahatma Gandhi, 1940
"But if you tame me, it will be as if
the sun came to shine on my life.
I shall know the sound of a step
that will be different from all others."
~The Little Prince
Antoine de Saint Exuprey
