After pulling out of an open mic night for the simple fact we felt unprepared we went along anyway to see what our peers were up to out there....Much to our disappointment we found a room full of poor attitude and over inflated egos, not that we're the best guitarists in the world, but frankly it was the musical equal of valium, the mood was tepid, and the music was boring.We'd like to think that this music is simple, catchy and uses some different styles of guitaring, we decided to open "Riviera Girl" with hammers as this seems to be very rare in acoustic guitar sets, and felt it opens the tune with an immediate warm hook, again with "Fantasy Girl" we opted to go for the slide intro as this also jumps straight into some guitar action rather than the run-of-the-mill slow verse, chorus, middle 8, outro style.We'd been listening to a lot of 30's blues and opted to go for that sort of watery sound which we edited in Adobe Audition using some web booty .VST plug-ins.
