the "SILENT WATER" band members met in yhe year 1999 in the IDF where they served as musicians in a band that went from one army base to the next, forcing tired worn out soldiers to listen to them do cheap covers of popular Israeli music in stead of sleep! needless to say-they sucked...They decided that maybe they'd have more luck with civilians that go out at night to drink beer and WILLINGLY listen to music. This turned out to be a smart move.
They started sneaking into the armybase eqiupment room at night to reherse, and formed "NIGHT VISION"- a Tori amos..Suzzane vega..Beatles cover band.
And so the three young soldiers started performing regularly in pubs at night in addition to their "green" day job.
OK, let's skip the next few years...in 2006 they released their debut Album titled: well, "SILENT WATER".
which was embraced by the critics.
They perfomed on a regular basis and had an unfogetable premier with known Israeli musician Yoni Rechter. In febuary this year they decided to record their second album just before singer-songwriter Sagit Shir and Bass player Ariel scherbakovsky (plain "Ariel" will do just fine!) flew to Cuba for 6 months to study music.
Apon arrival back to Israel they went straight into the studio to finish the last few songs before guitar player Ronnie Reshef flew to N.Y for her second degree in music. While Ronnie is calmly strolling the streets of Manhatten, the rest of the band are getting over their Cuba hangover and finishing the Album only to reunite as soon as possible with Ronnie in the upper west.
