This Katy, Texas native always had music in his life. Sundays would be the day music would flow through the house. Neil's mother had the music echoing through the house and this is where Neil got his early taste of music. While Neil had aspirations of glory through his athletic prowess, Neil, since his first taste of performing, has quickly developed a passion for music that has not even matched his intensity for sports. But that doesn't mean that Neil has forgotten his roots. He uses his athletic ability in performing as he bounces all over the stage and interacts with the crowd while performing. The uniqueness to Neil's singing ability is what sets Neil apart from the rest. The list of Neil's musical influences include Conway Twitty, Don Williams Alabama, Oak Ridge Boys, George Strait, Garth Brooks, Ronnie Milsap, Clint Black, KISS, Journey, and ABBA. On more than one occasion, Neil has had people approach him and tell him, "You know, I don't like Country Music at all, but I love to listen to you sing."While Neil is very new to the Country Music scene, he is already making big waves within the community. "I feed off the energy of the crowd and really don't go up on stage with any set idea of what I am going to do. I let the moment determine what happens. It not only keeps me on my toes, but it keeps the crowd on their toes," Neil said recently after a show in which he jumped almost over the stage that was set-up for him. In 2007, Neil won a prestigious spot to sing on stage in between acts of the KIIM FM 99.5 Country Music Festival. Luke Bryan sang his set, then while the stage crew set up the stage for Trent Tomlinson, Neil took the stage. Before 8,000 people, Neil delivered a masterful performance. Neil truly looked at home on stage. Trent Tomlinson took the stage immediately afterwards and stated "I have got to say, Tucson has got some talent!"Neil has just completed his debut CD titled "Breaking Hearts in Heaven" which has been on sale since July 15, 2009.His music is being played in the clubs of Tucson's country dance halls and is also being played in the states of Texas, New Mexico, Iowa, Tennessee and Virginia. He is headlining the 58th Annual Rex Allen Days Festival in Willcox, AZ which Neil is using as a springboard into his tour dates. Neil has also been invited to perform at the 70th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, SD during the summer of 2010.Neil was recently nominated for and earned Top 20 Honors in the 2009 Internet Radio Magazine Best Independent Artists. A great honor considering the nominations took place before Neil had completed his CD.
