My Social Life is an event planning agency that focuses on contributing to social change with our events. We specialize in fundraisers, awareness campaigns and workshops that inspire people to create and contribute to change. Our purpose is to explore key issues in ways that keep people interested and involved.We are currently launching a series of fundraisers to raise for our “Making the Connection Project". This focuses on the issues of child Soldiers in Uganda and the connection between at risk youth in North America.Making The Connection was inspired by a documentary that explores the lives of a group of young boys that are on the run during a 20 year war in Northern Uganda.
The project is a series of workshops, including the film that which are designed to spark critical thinking on topics of inter cultural racism, gangs, stereotypes, politics and the similarities between the two youth cultures.
