Franco Barrios Hinojosa, currently 24 years old, also known in Teotihuacan, Mexico as DJ xoTHConoxtlex, is the name behind this project. Submerged in the essence of trance for some few years already, his interests in music are his drive to explore the different existing sounds and to create a sound of his own. His passion for electronic music and desire to construct a style of his own have pushed him to try and understand the melodic ensemble created by the fused waves of sound. In 2003, he begins his quest under the name of DJ xoTHConoxtlex (name with which he intends to demonstrate his Mexican roots) and soon becomes well known as he soothes the minds of millions with his psytrance abilities. As opportunities continue to arise in the same year, Dj xoTHConoxtlex finds himself playing next to live projects known in Mexico as D TEK, SHARIGRAMA, TEEN SLUTS and DELYSID. In 2004, he takes on the road to explore the corners of Mexico, where he plays in the south and presents his set once more at the Mayan Riviera, and at the Ixchel Trance fest 2004 at Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo. During the same year, he forms part of a percussionist group in Southern Mexico, taking a Djembe as his instrument, and sets on yet another expedition to Guatemala. Here, he receives an invitation to play at one of Guatemala’s most recognized parties “San Pedro Full Moon Party 2004.†It isn’t until 2005 when his desire to leave Mexico behind and explore the world is materialized. He travels to Europe to try and create something new and always with the intention of learning how to mold the sounds that boomed in his head into countless tracks. In 2006, DJ xoTHConoxtlex finds himself walking the streets of Berlin, Germany, where a whole new world of opportunities begins to present itself. Among them, Nizzel, musician and internationally recognized ( “SKI FI†) Mexican producer of progressive trance, becomes his mentor. It is through him DJ xoTHConoxtlex learns to use software that finally allows him to produce his own music. He currently is established in Berlin where forming new tacks with which he intends to bring his first album . His music style mixes Full on Trance features with mystic and enigmatic sounds over a bubble bed of percussion beats and Djembe chords which make the new wave of sound that is Spectral Audio...*
