God, forever 21 is so indie.

About Me

My name's Hayley and...Oh hell, I don't know....just go by stereotypes and you'll probably arrive at a fairly accurate conclusion. If you want/need to hit on me, my aim is GiveEmTheBoot15.

My Interests

Music, obviously (specified below), art (making it, not appreciating the works of others while feeling immensely inadequate), reading (other's people's work, not creating my own because whenever I try, I notice I'm ripping off the ideas of more talented people), good friends and all included benefits of such, mindless violence, pretention, elitism, posturing, and everything that makes this world such a wonderful place. Um, oh yes, living by the timeless philosophies of the great Jack Handy...and exaggerated types, in other words, parodies of real people.

MySpace Codes

I'd like to meet:

Cowboys, Pirates, Hooligans, Outlaws, Vigilantes, Rebels, Bandits, Anti-heros, Fugitives, Secret Agents, and so on.

Music:

All right, there'll be no attempt to list bands, but I will take on the task of listing every genre of music by which some bands I like can be categorized...that should cover it. Punk [Street, UK82, 77, L.A. punk-80's and beyond, crust, Oi, um PIRATEXCORE if that exists, and if not, it SHOULD, skate punk (shush, child-I don't complain about your screamo nonesence...all the time)], Reggae, traditional ska, two-tone, a little bit of 3rd wave although I'm usually too embarassed to admit it in large groups, hardcore (a little cool, but mostly uncool), rockabilly, psychobilly, garage, classic rock, folk, country (which pretty much only includes Johnny Cash and Hank Williams Sr., but who's counting?), indie...ok, good enough...see how cool I am? Now, leave me alone.

Movies:

Lemme think....Suburbia (yes, it's terrible, but it's PUUUNNKK come on!), Decline of Western Civilization 1, Requiem for a Dream, Trainspotting, PI, Swingers, Detroit Rock City (so underrated), Fight Club (what list would be complete without it?-despite certain individuals claiming it to be an insult to the american audience), A Clockwork Orange, Rules of Attraction (also very underrated), Donnie Darko, Igby Goes Down, Tadpole (because that whole thing is just too badass), Royal Tennenbaums (not boring until the 3rd time for me), Amost Famous, High Fidelity, American Beauty, Eternal Sunshine, and, oh god, the Flintstones me the Jetsons.

Television:

I watch TV constantly, but the only thing that really rocks my casbah is Adult Swim, baby! (but none of that anime bull, only the funny stuff....of course....funny is subjective...)

Books:

All Irvine Welsh (Trainspotting, Glue, Maribu Stork Nightmares, but especially FILTH), 1984-Orwell (by the way, I think Brave New World was like the worst book ever),Animal Farm-Orwell, Vonnegut (Sirens of Titan, Slaughterhouse 5, Cat's Cradle), Waiting for Godot- Beckett, A ClockWork Orange-Burgess, subculture books like We Got The Neutron Bomb and Amped and Our Band Could be Your Life, ..Atlas Shrugged-Ayn Rand...gonna read house of leaves next, when i get the time, that is.

Heroes:

Jack Handy....oh and Joe Camel
