I have recently moved from the UK to New Zealand, music is my main hobby, social life, and drinking aid. Thanks to all the great bands that have accepted my invites. I love loads of heavy music but tend towards doom, sludge, space, stoner, psych and prog rock, equally I love classic 60s and 70s rock. Yes, I also stand up for my rights to say I like the White Stripes because their new LP is wicked.
Apart from that, this week I have been mostly listening to Looking Glass www.myspace.com/lookingglassoz, Hypnos 69 http://www.myspace.com/hypnos69, and eddie vedder's 'Into the wild' soundtrack.I don't like to think of myself as a geek but suppose I must accept that I am as most of the pre-requisites are there; I work in IT, I like cult Sci-fi films/books and cult comedy, and I have an obsessive train spotter-like interest in music.
