KeyClub Music Publishing was formed in 1997 by Norman "Keys" Hurt. Keys, a former Berklee Bum has been on the touring and recording scene since 1981 when he left school to tour with Boston area legendary band Hypertension. After the groups break up he moved back home to NYC where he hit the ground running and he hasn't stopped yet.
Keys has been performing with and producing for some of the most popular artists of our time. His touring, production, recording and performance credits include artists such as D'Angelo, Erykah Badu, Musiq Soulchild, Freddy Jackson, Alyson Williams, Mica Paris, Angie Stone, CoCo Brown, Cee Lo, India Davenport, Tramaine Hawkins, LaShun Pace, Vikki Yohe, Saundra St. Victor, The Family Stand, Busta Rhymes, Aaries, Special EFX, Noel Pointer, Michael Urbaniak, Roy Hargrove, Glen Jones, The Boys, Today, The Good Girls, Milira, Gerald Alston, Evelyn "Champange" King, Lenora Helm, and many, many more.
His awards and honors received include a Grammy nomination for composing, producing and mixing Badu Live which featured the smash hit "Tyrone", co-written by Erykah and Keys. Honors for Multi-Platinum sales, Billboard Chart Topping status, ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Awards, just to name a few. Keys' has composed music for movies, awards shows, television programming and commercials. Having served as Musical Director for many of the industries most popular artists has given him a unique perspective and rare sensitivity which is evident in his writting and production style.
Since 1997 he has been focusing on developing new talent, composing and production. Projects in development include:
