J started out much in the same vein as any true DJ does – with a love for mixing, live manipulation of the crowd, and a drive to push out the highest quality beats between New York and Los Angeles. Trample started out in the Dallas area circa 1999, mixing hard-driven electronica and the occasional hip-hop gig with DJ Kal at local Dallas clubs like the Lizard Lounge, 2826, and local events. Shortly thereafter, he branched out and has since established a fan base in key cities such as Irvine, LA, CA,Orlando, FL and NYC. Trample worked his 9-5 for some time while promoting/developing his music with 106.7FM in 2001, and with his help many other DJ’s and MC’s found their footing and today enjoy great success as a result. After DJ Kal’s death, Trample felt even more focused and driven to succeed in the hip-hop scene, and as a result his music and mixtapes can be found in multiple media forms, live and recorded, digitized, and placed online. Trample is currently working in the music scene from numerous angles – engineering tracks from the ground up, developing his own beats and beat structure, and remixing tracks for other local artists.
