Nidhogg is playing something we'd like to call "forest metal" and hails from Bamble in the southern parts of Norway.
The band was founded by Fimbul and Orm in the summer of 2004, but was rather inactive until between 2005 and 2006. At that time Nidhogg got themselves a drummer, Fønne. A little while later they also got a bassist, Vik, and since the summer of 2006 they've been rockin' on. In the spring of 2007 they recruited another guitarist, Koldron.
The music may be catogorized as black metal, but you will most likely notice elements of both doom and more particulary folk metal.
