About Me

Pic by PICZO
"Yellow Fever" By Babanuki

A boy and a girl collide one night under Tokyo's neon sky. Boy plays the guitar, so girl dusts off her bass and after a few riffs, suddenly, it all just makes perfect sense.
A couple of spins by John Peel, a single featured in "Dirty Sanchez The Movie", a tour of Germany, an EP, a UK tour, a Japan tour, another German tour inc a show in Berlin broadcast on Radio eins, full page features in Artrocker and Connected magazines, an ALBUM release in Japan, another Japan tour this time involving TV appearances on Fuji TV's "Factory Live" alongside Cornelious and "Elvis Wanted", a storming set at Duran Duran's aftershow party in Tokyo, another single, playlisting on NME radio, a new drummer, another video later and they're ready to take on the world... Which they're doing by completing another successful tour of Japan, and releasing another single in the UK to much acclaim (see below).

"It’s a pop punk extravaganza and it’ll have you bouncing off the walls like Timothy Leary suffering from ADHD whilst astride a huge space hopper"
Von Pip Musical Express "Fully Loaded" interview
"Like a sparring brother and sister, they take turns to see who can thrash the loudest across frenetic, electro-tinged drumposiums"
The Guardian
"It’s punchy, it’s visceral and it’ll make you check your iPod hasn’t blown a fuse (do iPod’s have a fuse?) what more can you want from a single?"
The Devil Has The Best Tuna/Artrocker
"Sneering post-punk scuzz-pop"
God Is In The TV
"Love it. Love it. Love it. Non stop environmentally unfriendly racket. Geldoff, I think you better get your coat"
The Beat Surrender
"‘I’ve been thinking’ is a deliciously demented sub three minute pop dynamo"
Losing Today
"fuzzy off kilter indie pop, bursting with neon soundbites"
Manchester Music
"could just be the light at the end of the Darkwave tunnel that the UK underground is currently passing through"
Loud Horizon
"***"
John Peel
"I can't believe they are not on our playlists"
Xfm
“This Tokyo/London two-piece sound like they’ve listened to Bis,
ate loads of sweets and formed a band mere seconds later”
NME
"a recent favourite of mine"
The Times
"Bloody hell I'm so excited I won't be able to get to sleep for hours"
Artrocker
"Uber-cool punk poppers set a high precendent"
Hot press
"Tunes with a vitality and immediacy"
Connected Magazine
"Levelload conquer Brighton"
Yahoo Music
"Hontouni kakkoi" (Truly cool)
NHK JP radio
"Jump up & down 'til your ankles give way catchy"
Maps Magazine
“They definitely rock”
Artrocker
“What a first single ‘HND In RNR’ is; as if the Yeah Yeah Yeahs were
a great undiscovered Phil Spector girl-group”
Drowned In Sound
“Simple, straight, direct – they stick it right up there!”
Simon Le Bon, DURAN DURAN
