About Me

It's been a long, hard winter in our ramshackle studio hideaway. The rains forced us inside for quite a spell, making even the simplest outings a major ordeal (what, with those wooden instruments and all that..). In the meantime, we wiled away the hours; mending our breeches, patching the leaks, and working on some of Uncle Alex's old favorites. Corry Jo spun yarns about life during the early 1800's, and we all enjoyed a bit of homemade jug wine! There were a few bright spots during our winter hibernation, however. We're proud to announce that Brother Jeremiah has fathered the new littlest Harkenback: Miss Aimee Lou! She's cute as a daisy and feisty as a billy goat!In addition to our domestic duties, we managed to roust ourselves on a few occasions and grace the platforms of BART's Ashby, Berkeley, and Rockridge stations. The good folks on BART were generous with their pocket change, and had plenty of kind words for us.Now that the sun's shining (and the shoo-flies have returned to our Berkeley home) we're ready to share our music once again with 'yall! Thanks to the tireless efforts of cousin "Silver" Jean at the telephone, we've managed to land ourselves some fancy appearances at some of the finest venues in town! We're champing at the bit to perform our latest tunes! Hope to see 'yall this summer.
