Palomino Entertainment Group currently represents acclaimed Chinese pianist, Xiayin Wang, the "The DarlingDivas" starring soprano Tonna Miller and mezzo Jennifer Hines and the young film making team of Jaime and Tony Valles, whose first film, “Casi Casiâ€, PEG sold to HBO.
XIAYIN WANG
PEG produced the Carnegie Hall debut of Xiayin Wang, with the City Symphony, conducted by George Manahan, Music Director of the New York City Opera. The success of this concert prompted the twelve-city "Xiayin Wang in Concert" tour produced and managed by Palomino. The tour began February 2008 and the venues have included; the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., the Ferguson Center in Newport News, VA and "Take Center Stage" Gala at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami. Ms. Wang's first CD on the Marquis Classics label garnered rave reviews. Her second CD will be released on the Naxos label in May '09. On May 12th, Ms. Wang performs at Alice Tully Hall - works to include the World Premier of a piece written for her by Richard Danielpour. Scheduled for 2009/10 are several NY appearances and a national tour.
THE VALLES BROTHERS
PEG currently manages the development and production of all film projects for the Valles brothers. Victoria was Executive Producer on their first film "Casi Casi" which she sold to HBO. It's only the second time HBO has bought a Spanish language foreign film for DVD release and broadcast. ("Maria, Full of Grace" was the other one.) The DVD came out in May 2007 - the film began airing on HBO and Cinemax in October, '07. "Casi Casi" had a highly successful theatrical run in Puerto Rico debuting on January 18, 2007. PEG arranged and handled the benefit Gala Premiere at the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico, sponsored by Pepsi, Burger King and the Puerto Rican Film Commision. The First Lady and Secretary of State and other notables were in attendance. The next script has been completed and PEG has begun setting it up at a studio.
THE DARLING DIVAS
PEG created the theatrical production, “The Darling Divasâ€, teaming soprano Tonna Miller and mezzo Jennifer Hines. These exceptional artists take musical stories of life and love out of large opera houses and put them in smaller, more intimate venues – creating a “user-friendly†atmosphere. Opera, Broadway and the American Songbook become fresh and exciting with "The Darling Divas." These beautiful thirty-somethings make opera more appealing to a younger generation, while also enchanting and embracing the older set, making music highly approachable. Cosmopolitan yet unpretentious, an evening with “The Darling Divas†is pure magic - they are hip and beautiful, charismatic and elegant.
Ms. Miller and Ms. Hines are both award winning artists who continue active careers in the opera world. Each of them has performed many roles at the Metropolitan Opera, the New York City Opera, and other national and international companies. In an exclusive arrangement, Ms. Hines and Ms. Miller wear designs by Carmen Marc Valvo. “The Darling Divas" performs especially well on campuses to nearly sold out houses.

An audience of 24,000 were in attendance. JOD was part of the CBS special hosted by Russ Mitchell honoring this Jamestown Settlement Commemoration.
