About Me

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx Well Friends,as you know, all good things sometimes come to an end,or at least a long hiatus. My gifted and talented friend,(guitarist) Mark Mercado has moved on to greener pastures (as they say). I wish him well and will always support his musical endeavors. But as for NOW,instead of losing all of our friends on our site, DRUMMER RICHARD E.T. TORRES is going to continue operating this site to help Promote himself as an Up and Coming drummer on the scene. PLEASE Support and Welcome him,and may the God of Thunder & Rock&Roll send him positive vibrations his way ! In the meantime"It's a long way to the TOP if you wanna Rock&Roll" ! LET'S ROCK !!! Who knows, the PHOENIX just might Rise again someday. Good Luck to All you Rockers out there. (old bio.) down below. -xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxThe Phoenix has Risen once again here in our beloved musical hamlet we call Austin. Mark Mercado has shaken off the ashes and is once again playing that Fender-strat as if his last breath is at jeopardy. Family man Mercado, has been battling the voices of so called reason, deperately trying to balance wife and 3 kids, 9-5 job, schooling for better education, and promotion of one's self and family .Only when the moon and stars are aligned in such a way that temporarily frees himself of the troubles of the world does he delve back into the music playing that Frees the Soul, Enriches the mind, and Nourishes the body. Please come out and support one of Austin's own Mark Mercado . Mark has been playing professionally for over 20 years. He played with James Cotton for 2 years while living in Chicago. He also played with local and touring acts such as Alan Haynes, the FatTones,Rob roy Parnell,Too Blue, the Solid senders,Shadowcasters, and the late E.R. Shorts, just to name a few. Mercado is holding the reigns this time and is playing the the music he loves and passionate about, the Blues at Full-Strat level ! Bringing his years of experience on percussion is Austinite Adrian "A-Train" Cardenas. Adrian comes from Texas' favorite party band Dysfunkshun Junkshun where he has played for the past 8 years and still going. And new to the scene ,but not to fellow bandmates is native Austinite Richard ET Torres keeping the Beat on DRUMS. We all were classmates at LBJ high school ,here in Austin,Texas. It's hard to find a more Local band than ours Joining the band on Bass is Rob Roeder, a veteran on the Austin music scene, rounding out the sound. Rob is an instructor at the Guitar school of music, here in Austin. He also plays with local band The Love Machine.
