Roseina Hester Transplant Fund

About Me

On November 19th 2008, Roseina was blessed with a double lung transplant. She was released to her Seattle apartment a week later. We are all very excited that the surgery and recovery are going so well.After transplantation, Roseina has a long road ahead of her. Unfortunately, Roseina's insurance will only cover a portion of the transplant costs, which are estimated at $500,000. Roseina needs intensive follow-up care, and is currently living in temporary housing so she can be near the transplant center. Roseina will also need a lifetime of follow-up care and daily anti-rejection medications. The cost of post-transplant medications alone can range from $2,000 to $5,000 per month--and they are as critical to her survival as the transplant itself.
