Erin is a singer, a songwriter and painter by trade. She is also a soup maker, a kniter, a sewer, a reader, a whiskey drinker, a nap-thusiast, a swimmer, and sister to lots of other Smiths. She has a loud goofy laugh. She lives in Hawaii right now but also calls Toronto home. She plays many live music shows every week and sings her ass off. Literally. The ass just goes.
Erin writes lots of songs and they are really quite good. She would put them up on this site but she doesn't know how to work a computer, so you'll have to check her website. But, so we're all on the same page here, she's got one of those huge soul voices that can bend at all kinds of odd angles. Kind of jazzy. Gutsy as all get out. She's got a wackload of stage presence and kind of owns it when she's performing. She tends to jump all over the place while pounding her guitar into oblivion. She has done a lot of touring, but currently mostly hangs out on Maui.
Erin has a band in Canada and a band on Maui. She loves all the fellas who back her up (Kimo the PUNKASS, Elan the friggin' crazy DJ, Ian the sweet troublemaker, Leemer, Mikey C, Pants, Neener (who is not a fella), Johie, Professor, Hot Toddy, LG, Joe "the problem" Abraham).
She has a bunch of records out and is working on a new one. "Swagger" is the latest and it's worth showing off to your friends and suitable for taking home to mom. If your mom is cool.
Erin is a member of the Tagteam duo with co-conspirator and fabulous poet and booty shaker Janine Stoll. The two of them are writing a musical, tentatively titled "Drunk and Naked". Erin is a member of the wickedly, stoopidly good all-girl group the Ladybird Sideshow, alongside the aforementioned Miss Stoll, wild-child whiz kid Melissa McClelland and the one and only Lisa Winn, who is vocally blessed by both Jesus and Buddha.
Erin occasionally sings back up vocals for Mr. Something Something, when she's on the right side of the equator. Sometimes she sings with Kanoa on Maui. Sometimes she sings with Byron Brown on Maui (and she will always eat his dinners). Sometimes she sings with Darcie Smith on Maui (and she will always take outfit advice from her).
Erin finds the word "pants" to be hysterically funny and will often burst out laughing at the mere mention.
