I grew up in Pasadena, CA; went to St Philips elementary (catholic school); was a cub/boy scout; moved to Lakewood in the beginning of 8th grade; went to Killingsworth Middle School for 8th; Artesia for 9th and 10th and Whitney for 11th and 12th. Was a telemarketer for the CA police activities league for two months before joining the Army in November 97 as a reservist and switched to active duty in July 98 to become an optical laboratory specialist. Spent two years in San Antonio (Ft Sam); 15 months in Virginia (NOSTRA); 4.5 years in Pirmasens, Gemany; one year in Balad, Iraq; 9 months (so far) back in San Antonio. Got married in Germany to my most excellent wife Tanja and assumed stepfatherhood to the awesome Sharon. They are my purpose. My new career goal is to start all over again on the bottom of the officer totem pole...hopefully by mid-2010. I have little tolerance for ignorance and laziness but realize that patience and calmness = success, at least in the military. I enjoy teaching Soldiers (although I hardly ever get to) and keeping track of every active 68H (optical Soldier). I particularly enjoy locating people I used to know but after initial contact I tend to not keep in touch so well. Sorry...
